Asimi Ultra RCA

The best RCA interconnect cable we know how to make. The Asimi is the only interconnect cable included in HiFi News magazine’s recent annual collection of best-reviewed equipment. They described it as ‘a true flagship cable.’

The original aim of the Atlas Asimi project was to take a completely fresh look at cable design and, where necessary, to develop new techniques to create a cable which would satisfy the most critical listeners for years to come. For this latest generation version, we again went back to basics, re-assessing our existing design & manufacturing processes, exploring different construction methods and experimenting with new materials.
The Asimi Ultra features pure silver conductors, manufactured using the highest-quality ‘Ohno Continuous Cast’ technique for drawing pure silver. Silver cables have a reputation for poor sound quality in some quarters, we believe the Asimi definitively shows the problem is with low grade materials and poor manufacture, resulting in a cable with a coarse grainy structure which compromises sound quality. By contrast, in the manufacture of Asimi, we maximise the silver’s conductivity by ensuring that there is typically one grain in approximately 125 metres of conductor, allowing the signal a continuous unbroken path –in effect, the signal has a faster, cleaner and more direct path to follow.
The cable consists of a pair of conductors, each made up from six bundles of 12 multi-conductor wires, plus a thicker centre wire. This in turn is covered by a continuous copper/Mylar™ electrostatic screen and a silver-plated copper shielding braid, ensuring minimal susceptibility to RF interference and noise.
Theoretically, the best dielectric (insulation layer) is air. Suspending the conductor in free air would be the best method to transfer maximum fidelity, if not very practical. Realistically a dielectric is necessary to protect the conductor, although all conventional dielectric materials impose their own signature distortion and loss on the signal. We developed a new technique, using a microporous PTFE (Teflon™) tape, which is wound around the core conductors, then covered again and stabilised using a protective FPE (Flexible PolyEthylene) dielectric. Our process allows the required conductor geometry to be maintained and offers greater manufacturing consistency. Termination is with our low mass, high bandwidth, cold-weld XLR or Ultra RCA connectors, both of which have minimal effect on the integrity of the signal.
The result is the best cable we currently know how to make. Asimi, perhaps more than any other product, is responsible for Atlas now being viewed as one of a handful of top manufacturers worldwide.

Mavros Ultra RCA

RCA interconnect cable based on the same design objectives and manufacturing techniques developed for our Asimi range, utilising copper rather than silver conductors.

The Mavros Ultra RCA uses the very highest quality ‘6N’ (99.99997% purity) copper manufactured using the OCC ‘Ohno Continuous Cast’ technique. Cables manufactured with lower grade materials and poor manufacture typically have a coarse, grainy structure which compromises sound quality. Ascent Ultra RCA

High resolution RCA interconnect cable using much of the technology developed for our highly acclaimed Mavros & Asimi ranges.

 

The Ascent Ultra RCA interconnect uses separate going and return conductors together with a woven copper/Mylar™ screen maximising resistance to RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) which can raise noise levels in a poorly shielded cable, resulting in a loss of low level detail. Two separate high purity OCC (Ohno Continuous Casting) copper conductors with a high-efficiency/low impedance PEF dielectric are wired in a pseudo-balanced fashion again with the objective of reducing noise. Ascent is fitted with our low-mass wide-bandwidth Ultra RCA connectors (for fully balanced systems, the Ascent is available with XLR connectors.

Hyper Integra RCA

The latest generation Hyper Integra offers a sophisticated, evenly balanced sound which draws you into the musical performance.

 

The signal conductor is a coaxial design of 95 strands of OFC (Oxygen Free Copper) of 99.997% purity encased within a 90% coverage OFC screen, designed and constructed to combine wide bandwidth with excellent resistance to RFI (Radio Frequency Interference), which can raise noise levels in a poorly shielded cable, resulting in a loss of low level detail. The Hyper Integra is fitted with our self-cleaning (just remove and insert it to clean the contact areas) Integra RCA plug. The low-mass Integra connector features a solder-free, cold-weld connection, optimised to create a coherent, continuous signal path.
The end result is a natural-sounding interconnect which achieves a large open soundstage and fine levels of resolution without any sense of exaggerated ‘detail’ which is superficially impressive but quickly fatiguing to listen to.
The Hyper range includes DIN & XLR termination options, digital interconnects plus stereo & bi-wire speaker cables.

Element Integra RCA

Our original design brief for the Element Integra was to create a better than average, high quality, entry level interconnect. It seems we succeeded. The Element Integra has won numerous awards internationally and become one of our most successful products.

 

Benefitting from our ongoing research and development, the Element is fitted with our Integra non-magnetic RCA plug. The low mass Integra connector features a solder-free, cold-weld connection, all optimised to create a coherent, continuous signal path. The signal conductor is a fully shielded high quality OCC copper, designed and constructed to provide maximum resistance to RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) which can raise noise levels in a poorly shielded cable. The result is a cable which offers a large three dimensional soundstage and fine levels of detail without the artificial brightness which affects many budget cables. The Element Integra offers a neutral, relaxing sound and has proven to be an excellent foundation for further system improvements. The Element range includes other analogue termination options, complementary USB & digital interconnects and speaker cables.

Asimi XLR

The Asimi XLR is engineered to maximise the performance of ‘high-end’ audio systems by achieving maximum signal transfer.

Conventional termination methods involve this braid being partially removed and twisted, therefore reducing the mechanical integrity of the screen, resulting in compromised RF resistance. For the Asimi XLR, Atlas developed a new system using two symmetrical drain wires (each attached to 180° segments of the plug) inserted between a 100% copper/Mylar™ foil and screen. This unique system connects the screen effectively to the cable return/plug interface and provides total 360° screening, without affecting the integrity of the screen in any way.

Hyper Integra Tonearm RCA

Based on our latest generation Hyper interconnect, the Hyper Integra Tonarm cable is available with the choice of either a right-angle (90°) or straight (180°) entry 5 pin connector.


An extremely low noise cable ideally suited to the very low signal output levels of phono cartridges.

Hyper Integra Tonearm uses an OCC (Ohno Continous Casting) high purity copper conductor with foamed Polyethylene dielectric, combining to offer a sophisticated, evenly balanced sound which draws you into the musical performance.
The cable is fitted with our self-cleaning (just remove and insert it to clean the contact areas) Integra RCA plug and integrated spade tag earth terminal. The low-mass Integra connector features a solder-free, cold-weld connection, optimised to create a coherent, continuous signal path. The 5 pin tonearm plug is precision-turned and hard gold-plated with FEP insulation. Cable entry is from either the side (right angle entry) or from the base (straight entry), please specify when ordering.
